The iPhone 8 has a 4.7″ screen, while the iPhone X boasts a 5.8″ bezel-less screen. The resolution of the two phones is different from one another. Design

Both phones run iOS 11, but the way you interact with the devices is a little different. The iPhone 8 has a physical home button, while the iPhone X has gesture controls. The former has 2GB of RAM, while the iPhone X has 3GB of RAM (as suggested by reports).

Camera

The iPhone 8 is equipped with a 12-megapixel single-lens camera. While the iPhone X features a 12- megapixel dual-lens camera with a telephoto and wide-angle lens. Both devices have a quad-LED flash, 7- megapixel f/2.2 front camera. On the main cameras a aperture of f/1.8 and optical image stabilization. Thanks to the additional lens on the iPhone X, it can zoom and use Portrait Mode. This mode supports Animoji, an animated emoji that is based on your mouth movements and facial expressions.

Security

The iPhone 8 uses the Touch ID fingerprint scanner to unlock the device. While the iPhone X utilizes facial recognition using Face ID.

Battery

The iPhone 8 has a 1,821mAh battery, while reports suggest that the iPhone X has a 2,716mAh cell battery. The operational time of iPhone 8 is almost the same as the iPhone 7. According to Apple, the iPhone X can last up to two hours longer than the operational time of iPhone 7.
